Blogs are extremely useful for those seeking information from a real person whether it be about the latest technology or simply what someone gets up to in their daily life. For me I found that the blog search function on Google helped me search for articles about Graphic Design without having to search for blogs which are scattered across the internet. You can search blogs by clicking on the 'more' tab on Google and selecting 'blogs'.

Its hidden on Google but is something I use to get the latest industry news from the top designers and professionals in my field. Blogs are slowly becoming more and more important to add to your website because they incorporate the ever so vital keywords that we need to rank higher in search engines and they also create a personable approach with your customers. Maybe when the public start utilising blogs to their fullest then Google may bring out the blog search function to the main search page.
